Pae Thai - The Best Thai Food in Honolulu (King St./Piikoi)

I have to say I've been eating Thai food in Honolulu since I was 16 years old and had some good dishes. But I have to say that since 2006, after a friend brought me to Pae Thai for the first time, I have not tasted Thai food that is as good and consistent.

A 20 table restaurant with the most eclectic fun Thai decor, makes the best fried chicken in town. The most authentic and unique flavors of lemongrass, kaffir lime, coconut milk and thai basil. The dishes that I would recommend that you "must try" are the warm wing bean salad, fried tofu tod and of course fried chicken. The lamb curry is also a must for your meat eating friends and the ong choy with tofu for your vegetarian friends.

So tonight I visited Pae Thai for dinner on my way home and remembered that I had not been there for as least 6 months. I had my vegetarian favorites tonight - wing bean salad, tofu tod and ong choy tofu with thai brown rice. Yum yum. Still the best and so consistent.

They are open for lunch and dinner, tuesday through sunday.

  1. Sounds good! I will take you to Kookie's Thai Kitchen on Middle Street. Then see what you say...
